Our Mission: Make the Overlooked Unavoidable.
I’m Jason S. Comely, the founder of Kyyt Press.
I write biographies. For genealogists who’ve hit a dead end. For families carrying a story that got told wrong. For businesses whose founding history deserves more than a forgotten paragraph. For people who want to preserve a loved one’s life before the memories fade.
I came to this work through nearly 15 years of genealogical research. I’ve traced families across oceans and centuries, learned to read between the lines of census records and ship manifests, and discovered that the dead leave more behind than we think, if you know where to look.
I’m also the author of The Magic Powder: E.W. Gillett and the Invention of Consumer Trust, a business biography of one of Canada’s overlooked industrial pioneers. That project taught me that biography isn’t just preservation. It’s resurrection. Done right, a biography makes someone impossible to ignore.
Kyyt Press exists because I believe the overlooked deserve to be found. The ancestor who vanished from the records. The founder whose decisions shaped a company but never got credit. The family member whose real story got buried under headlines or silence. The loved one whose life was rich and full and deserves to outlast memory.
I’m not a ghostwriter waiting for your outline. I research. I write. I publish books that last.
If you have a story that needs to be told, I’d like to hear it.
